Overview

Section 1

1.1. SJM installations LTD has prepared this quotation based on pertinent information supplied by the client with regards to the boundaries, size, scale and layout of Project Area in question. SJM installations LTD accepts no liability whatsoever for any losses, disputes or damages arising from construction work as a direct result of errors in this information.

1.2. All prices are prepared based on a best estimation at time of submission considering information supplied by the client. Should this be found to be inaccurate SJM installations LTD will quote an additional charge based on accurate information and evidence to settle the difference, and this must be agreed by both parties before work commences.

1.3. All prices given on this quote are correct at the time of writing but may be subject to future change due to external factors such as cost of supply.

1.4. All quoted prices are valid only up until the expiry date given on the quote. Acceptance of this quotation automatically signifies acceptance of the terms and conditions set out here and indicates an agreement between SJM installations LTD and client.

1.5. Only the treatments and services described in the quotation is included within the price given. Any other works, labour or supply of materials outside of the scope of the quote given will be chargeable. Any modification or extra work that falls outside of the remit of this quotation must first be agreed with a price and signed by both parties before it may go ahead.

Scope of work

Section 2

2.1. SJM installations LTD will endeavour to carry out the listed services to a high professional standard via suitably qualified tradespeople. All workmanship is covered under our 2 years workmanship guarantee. All other warranties and guarantees are subject to the standard supplier issues.

2.2. Whilst all reasonable effort will be made to carry out the required services, SJM installations LTD reserves the right to alter or cancel some or all work at short notice in the case of reasons beyond its control e.g. adverse or extreme weather conditions.

2.3. The client must allow sufficient access to the property in order to carry out the services and a connection to a water and electricity supply will be necessary.

Invoicing and Payment

Section 3

3.1. The client accepts the final quote given here and the price of goods and services will be inclusive of VAT. On acceptance of a quote 100% of all materials costs and 50% of the labour balance shall be immediately due for settlement before work commences.

3.2. On completion of works an invoice shall be raised to settle the remaining balance, which shall be due on satisfactory completion of works unless otherwise stated.

3.3. If the invoice is not settled within 30 days of the invoice date, SJM installations LTD reserves the right to begin legal proceedings to recover the outstanding fees with the client liable for SJM installations LTD legal fees for doing so.

3.4. These terms and conditions will represent a contract between SJM installations LTD and client according to the laws of England, Scotland and Wales.

COMPLAINTS POLICY

Section 4

4.1 SJM Kitchens always endeavours to provide the best service. However, on rare occasions there may be times where a customer may not be completely satisfied. To ensure the business can put things right for you, as soon as possible after the completion of the works, please inspect the work to ensure everything has been carried out based on the contract terms and to the high standards the business aims to achieve. Please contact the business straight away with any concerns either by phone, email or write to us. If writing, get proof of posting.

4.2. Business Complaint Procedure
On receipt of your complaint the business aims to respond within 5 days.

The business will arrange a convenient date to come and view and/or remedy the situation within 28 days.

In the unlikely event the business is unable to resolve your complaint having exhausted the business complaints procedure, it may be necessary to use another complaint service. Where the business cannot resolve the complaint to your satisfaction and/or agree to the final resolution requests confirmed to us; and both parties agree a ‘deadlock’ has been reached, you can then escalate your complaint.

The business has access to an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service for our domestic installation, service, repair and maintenance contracts as part of the Which? Trusted Traders Endorsement.

If you choose to you can refer your complaint to Which? Trusted Traders’ Alternative Dispute Resolution. You will need to contact Which? Trusted Traders on 029 2267 0040 who can explain if you are eligible to use their Alternative Dispute Resolution.
