This kitchen transformation in Hook, Hampshire was designed to completely improve the way the space felt and functioned for everyday family life. The existing layout lacked flow and made the kitchen diner feel more closed off than the customer wanted, so the project focused on opening the room up while still keeping practical storage solutions in place.
At the survey stage, one of the most important design decisions was removing the peninsula. This change immediately created a more open and connected kitchen diner layout, helping the room feel larger, brighter and far more welcoming for family use. Maintaining good storage remained a key requirement, so the final design balanced openness with practicality.
Using the Riva range in a matt finish alongside laminate worktops and integrated appliances, the finished kitchen now delivers a clean, modern look with a much better sense of space and movement throughout the room.
The project included full kitchen installation along with plumbing, plastering and electrical works to ensure the transformation was completed seamlessly. Coordination between the different trades helped the installation progress efficiently and ensured every stage was completed to a high standard.

Completed between 8th and 17th February 2026, the project was delivered within the expected timeframe, helping minimise disruption while still achieving a high-quality finish.
The completed kitchen now feels brighter, more open and far better suited to modern family living. Removing the peninsula transformed the overall flow of the room, creating a welcoming kitchen diner space that works both practically and socially.
