Our client approached SJM Kitchens with a clear vision. She knew exactly what she wanted from her new kitchen and utility space, but the most important factor was scheduling. The installation needed to align with ongoing building works and an extension project, meaning flexibility and careful planning were essential.
Unlike many renovations, design changes were minimal because the client had a strong understanding of the finished look she wanted. The key requirement was coordination — ensuring installation worked around the wider build schedule while maintaining cooking and prep facilities throughout.
A separate utility room was a priority, allowing household functionality to continue while the main kitchen area was under construction.
To minimise disruption, the utility room was installed first. This ensured the household retained cooking facilities and prep space while the extension works progressed. Once the building phase reached the right stage, the main kitchen installation followed.
Multiple trades were coordinated, including:

• Tiler
Careful sequencing ensured the project remained on schedule.
